On April 25, 2025, NGC High Accurate Maine Equipment Co., Ltd. (NGC Marine) successfully completed the fifth "Azimuth Thruster System Maintenance" training and Electric Tugboat Technology Development Exchange Conference in Nanjing. On April 21, 2025, the Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) system supplied by Nanjing High Accurate Marine Equipment Co., Ltd. (NGC Marine) for MV. QIHANG 19 firefighting and oil spill recovery vessel was delivered officially after successful completion of sea trials.MV. QIHANG is multi-functional fully welded steel vessel equipped with two sets of ducted CPP System, powered by two marine diesel engines (2400kW each). With an overall length of 65.80m, a width of 16.00m, a depth of 6.00m, and a design draft of 4.50m, the vessel features world-wide voyage, firefighting, oil spill recovery, oil containment booms deployment and towing (assist large ships in berthing and unberthing operations in offshore areas). As a firefighting and oil spill recovery vessel, MV. QIHANG performs well in stability, seaworthiness and maneuverability. NGC Marine-Supplied Main Propulsion Gearbox for 38,168 cubic meters Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger Successfully Passes Ship Survey and Customer Acceptance Test
On March 19, 2025, the main propulsion gearbox supplied by Nanjing High Accurate Marine Equipment Co., Ltd. (NGC Marine) passed the complete machine acceptance test by the China Classification Society (CCS) and was jointly approved by the Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd, Wartsila and Zhenhua Shipyard. Due to its large size, the gearbox will be shipped disassembled. By now, the painting and packaging have been completed and ready for delivery to the shipyard in the coming days.The gearbox will be installed on the Tongjun, a 38,168 cubic meters railing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) under construction for the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. Equipped with a hybrid power system, the vessel measures 195 meters in overall length, 38.5 meters in width, and 18 meters in depth. With a range of 12,000 nautical miles and 25 days of endurance, it is capable of world-wide voyage and achieving a maximum dredging depth of 120 meters. On April 16, the European luxury Ro-Ro Passenger ship GNV ORION, equipped with main propulsion gearboxes supplied by Nanjing High Accurate Marine Equipment Co., Ltd. The vessel, constructed by Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited (GSI, under China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited/CSSC) for Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV), a passenger ferry operator owned by the world's leading transport and logistics company, Mediterranean Shipping Group (MSC), marks the second delivery in a series of four vessels.Under the contract between NGC Marine and KONGSBERG for four luxury ro-ro passenger ships, the first vessel, GNV POLARIS, was delivered in October 2024 and has been put into operation on Mediterranean routes.
